Is a Senate bill from 2011 going to be followed with Senator Ervin Yen's son Jacob Henry Yen following the younger Yen's arrest in Norman for drunk driving?
SB 529 (2011) requires that first time DUI offenders have interlocking ignition devices installed on their cars, requiring the driver to blow into the device and pass a booze test before the car will start. Jacob Henry Yen will also have the words "Interlock Required" placed on his drivers license until the probation period is over and drivers caught driving vehicles without the required ignition interlock will result in arrest. Yen will have to pay for the device and interlock, which was reflected on the court records obtained by the Sooner Tea Party.
The arrest records shows one Jacob Henry Yen, with a residence of 1700 Elmhurst Dr., Oklahoma City, the same residence of Christopher C. Yen, Pamela Mae yen, and Senator Ervin Yen. The address was also listed on the Pamela Mae Yen assault and battery arrest from earlier this year so there is no doubt that Senator Ervin Yen's boy was indeed arrested and charged with DUI. The twenty year old Yen was blasted according to the police report and the blood alcohol roadside test showed a blood alcohol result of 0.19, nearly 250% greater than what is considered drunk driving. People are arrested for far lower BAC than 0.08 for the lesser charge of driving while impaired. Yen was bonded out by one Liz Brown, an unknown associate who posted the bail bond with Abraham's Bail Bonds. One wonders if the good Senator Ervin Yen even knows of his son's arrest as bondsmen said that it is usually family that bonds drunks out of jail.
The arrest record lists Yen's basic information, DOB 7/25/1997, Male, white race, 5'8" and 163 pounds, black hair, brown eyes. Yen was arrested on September 16th at 2:51 am and booked into the Cleveland County Jail by an officer with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.
Senator Ervin Yen of course is universally loathed by conservatives and libertarians alike for his demands that all children be vaccinated despite any health or religious objections. And we are not talking about the vaccinations that most of us got as kids, the five or six such as mumps, polio, whooping cough; we are talking about as many as 80 separate vaccines or booster shots by the time a child reaches 18 years of age. Yen is also a big tanning bed Nazi. Now I don't use tanning beds and I am sure they aren't healthy, but really parents are best able to make these decisions, not some jack*ss state senator.
But really Senator Ervin Yen, if you can't keep your own wife and son out of jail then perhaps it is time that you stepped down and devoted yourself to seeing that anger management and sobriety counseling are carried out. I'm sure the Senate office is a haven for you, that droopy eye you have seems to be explained by the revelations of outhouse rat crazy wife, no doubt also responsible for driving your kid to drink. But man up, Senator Ervin Yen, take some self defense courses so you can keep from getting your Senator Holt beat and get wifey and boy some help.
