Soft On Crime Poster Boy

 Soft on Crime Poster Boy
Also a Warning to RINOs and Democrats

As the word is that the schools are bring a lot of students to the Capitol on Monday we feel it is worth the time to discuss a criminal who has a long history of sex offenses. Everyone remembers the sexual escapades of the legislators over the years so perhaps a warning is in order to them all if high school girls are going to be around the Capitol.

Meet Mathew Laney, our poster boy for the soft on crime RINOs and Democrats pushing for weakening criminal punishment. Laney shows up in the adult criminal data bases in 2005, when he was around 19 years old. Drunk driving, joy riding, assault and battery, interfering with a phone call during a domestic disturbance, breaking and entering a residence, various protective orders filed against him, then by 2015 the crimes became indecent exposure cases.
Sentenced to two years in prison and eight years probabtion Laney was re arrested in 2017 after his suspended sentence was revoked and Laney cut another deal, which he failed to keep, along with his failure to register as a sex offender which earned him another arrest warrant in November of 2017, and another charge of terrorism hoax in late December of 2017, and another arrest warrant for assault and battery was issued in February of 2018 causing Laney to promptly leave town.  Laney had called the parole office and left a voice mainl threatening to get a gun and shoot up the place

Laney has lived a life of crime and received suspended sentences and chance after chance to no avail. He is just as much of a criminal now as he was in his late teens and won't likely stop committing crimes until he is in his early fifties if he follows the usual pattern. The revolving door of the justice system just creates work for lawyers and judges and victims. The guy isn't paying his court costs while out of prison and continues to be a liability to society.

What is needed is truth in sentencing and cheap prisons. Criminals like Laney shouldn't be out on the streets after their second or third offense. This won't happen as long as legislators are kowtowing to teachers and special interests.
