Chicken Shit Rep. Josh West Busted on Conflict of Interest -
An excellent article last week pointed out that the new leader of the group aiming to study the chicken industry is himself working for the chicken industry. The story published by The Frontier.org group says that Rep Josh West, AKA Chicken Shit Josh, has been employed for years by Simmons Foods as their Lean Coordinator.
West was appointed to the Coordinating Council of Poultry Growth by Speaker Charles McCall, either in a shot at bringing much needed campaign donations to complete the job of eliminating conservative Republicans or as a payoff for the poultry industry financing the primary and runoff attacks on conservative Republicans using the dark money group in Washington D.C..
Simmons Foods is said to be contracting with most of the new chicken feeding operations and is about to open a new processing facility over in Gentry Arkansas. Clever business, putting the chicken waste over the border in Oklahoma while creating most of the jobs in Arkansas. The article says that West's own county nearly doubled the number of birds being fed from 10.3 to 19.6 million birds. The Simmons family are maxed out political donors to Josh West, along with others in the poultry industry they paid out $11,000 to Rep. West since he first ran for office and no telling how much was donated to the dark money groups in Washington D.C..
With many upset at the rising number of birds and the accompanying chicken waste being spread and sprayed on fields, concerned for the scenic rivers and water supplies damaged by excess nutrients, there isn't going to be any significant change in land use laws, West himself said as much when interviewed, hoping to steer any new regulations into the Department of Agriculture to escape any heat on the legislature for the action or lack of action regarding the problems.
This is just one of many instances of corruption that we have to look forward too after Speaker McCall eliminated the conservative legislators. The few that are left won't have the numbers to stop the obviously corrupt legislation that will be introduced nor will they be inclined to do so after Speaker McCall and his lieutenants spent nearly three quarters of a million dollars taking out the conservative legislators. All of that was hard earned money and it is to be paid back twenty to fifty times in order for the donor's investment to be worth the risks.
