Removed by the “owner” of a Church in Violation of the Republican Party Rules

The "owner" of Fairview Baptist Church

The video covers a minute or two before the church “owner” asks me to leave to the overflow room. Asking something is different than telling someone to do something, they could claim later that they asked someone to leave but didn't make them leave. So I made sure the cop gave me a legal order to leave before I would move.

As you can see, I was sitting there quietly recording when the guy in the t shirt sticks his head in front of my phone. I was for sure talking as I went past Bennett's staff, letting them know what crooks they were. And note that the cop states that I can stay in the “overflow” room, that I wasn't told to leave the building. The overflow room was one room removed from the main hall where the meeting occurred.

There was plenty of seating, even that entire row of small closets with extra chairs set up in side that was vacant other than those of us that were getting booted out. Plus there were dozens of empty chairs in the blocks of chairs and about twenty percent of the room to the right of the stage was empty. You could have put a hundred or two hundred more people in the room.

Once out in the “overflow” room, which had no sound or audio equipment where you could watch what was going on, I was then approached by Miles Rahimi, Bennett's communications director, with him aggressively approaching and getting in my face off to the right, followed by two cops that then ordered me to leave, including the cop that said I could stay in the overflow room. The excuse? I hadn't left voluntarily. I gotta say that National Committee persons Steve Curry and Pam Pollard actually tried to stand up for me. Agreeing in front of the cops that the move was against our rules and illegal. They also said that using private venues like this had been a problem in the past.

Once outside, down a long hall and past the foyer, there were others that had been booted out with their belongings left inside. One man had to have someone go in and retrieve his tablet and other personal items. Others outside told the same story, they had been made to leave even the over flow room.

Later one of the parishioners of the church, Fairview Baptist Church, on Sooner Road in Edmond, said that the actual owner of the Church was behind the removals, saying he would back Bennett.

Now Paul Blair works with Pastor Dan Fisher and both claim to be ardent “Constitutional” scholars and supporters. I suppose the First Amendment isn't one of the rights they support.

So banished outside in the sun and heat I was surrounded by abolitionists and Lahmeyer supporters so we started talking. A universal topic was how they managed to be banished outside in the heat while their hero John Bennett, a big Lahmeyer supporter, was running the meeting inside. So we started talking and explaining Bennett's history and how he had turned on his allies. A few hours later and just about everyone was convinced something stinked or had grave doubts about the character of the Chairman. One very nice young lady was very resistent, a former Jenni White supporter but she had come to trust Bennett and liked what he was doing. Even Bennett's staff was being given the benefit of the doubt until I told the story of the $6000 in donations for the sprinkler and landscaping being sabotaged and that was the story that brought the doubt crashing down.

And the abolitionists. You know, without their leaders around they are some very nice people. I was honest with them, no fan of their leaders, but there were some genuinely nice people in the group. One eye opener for them was when the asked about the plot to remove John Bennett that they had been told was to happen that day. Once told of how the rules worked and how it was impossible to remove Bennett without a ten day notice and a full meeting devoted to that, they realized that they had been lied to.

Then telling a few Navejas stories about how he lied about some of the vicious stories he had posted really rocked their world. One story was about a man that had divorced his wife due to mental illness, without explaining that the idea was demanded by the woman's therapist, divorce, sign a pre nuptial agreement, then re marry. That prevented the woman from stripping the family and kids from assets if she had a relapse and it made it possible for the family to stay together. Now you are talking about a saint of a guy that would stick around, this isn't someone that needs trashed.

You know, the irresponsible leaders need the darkness and fear to rule over others. There is no feeling that is worse than understanding that you have been deliberately lied to. Those that trash innocent people wind up being pariahs in the end.

Paul Blair
Dan Fisher playing "patriot"
So the next few hours were spent under a shade tree meeting dozens of new people. They learned a lot and I learned not to judge so many by the acts of their leaders. These folks mean well, they are just misled and used by some bad leaders.

Now what to do with this Church? Surely my Constitutional rights were violated since they had agreed to let the Republican Party to use the building? You can't just single out people in violation of the group's own rules to the contrary?

One thing for sure is that Paul Blair and Dan Fisher ought to feel like fakes the second they start preaching about the Constitution.
