More Details on the
Toby Pedford Arrest
Sources claim that former Oklahoma City Tea Party leader Toby Pedford turned himself in the Monday after his wrong way crash that left an area woman struggling to survive. Shortly after midnight on March 9th Pedford crashed his car into the woman's car as Pedford was driving the wrong way on an interstate. The woman sustained broken ribs, spleen damage, and two broken ankles. Pedford escaped with one broken ankle.
The court documents state that Pedford "exhibited several indications of intoxication beyond his driving the wrong way on the interstate." and had "blood shot watery eyes, slurred speech, and was talkative, and uncooperative with the investigation." Pedford claimed that he was going home from a bar on the 2600 block of NW Expressway but the police probable cause affidavit stated that there was no logical route to Pedford's house that would have put him so far out of his way.
Pedford served on the board of the OKC Tea Party along with gubernatorial candidate Dan Fisher and of course Pedford is a supporter of Dan Fisher.
Justice for Some
Here it is nearly four months later and Oklahoma County Assessor Butch Freeman's son Forest Nelson Freeman has yet to be held accountable for being caught with hundreds of child porn images on his computer. The Edmond Police Department had tracked Freeman down after he allegedly downloaded child porn, seized his computer with warrant, with Freeman supposedly yelling at his wife not to give the cops any passwords. Later the police came back with a warrant for Freeman's arrest yet Freeman had gone to ground, with some family members claiming that others in the clan were hiding Freeman from the law so he could surrender on Monday. One story on the arrest claimed that the pictures were of young girls between two and twelve years of age.
Freeman surrendered that Monday and was freed on bond. Yet after two months with no criminal charges being filed the bond was exonerated as prosecutor David Prater was refusing to file criminal charges. Two months later no charges appear on the OSCN.net records.
But it isn't just the well connected public official's family. Common perverts and criminals alike get sweet deals all the time thanks for soft on crime agendas.
Meet Michael Harlan Williamson of Covington. Williamson spent ten days in the Noble County jail for the rape of a 14 year old and if a Noble County Court has its way that is the only penalty that Williamson is going to face. But a plea deal was cut, rape taken down to felony lewd molestation charges. Williamson was given ten years in prison, and ten days in jail, with the prison term suspended and ten days later Williamson walked out of the county jail a free man.
Of course the 14 year old girl wasn't as fortunate and will live with the scars. The step mother was told about explicit Snapchat messages Williamson was sending but allegedly the stepmother was having an affair with the stepmother and she chose to ignore the illegal messages to an underage girl. The arrest affidavit said that Williamson raped the girl after the girl refused his advances.
The stepmother pled no contest to child endangerment and received five years prison deferred and some community service. Williamson himself has yet to make it on the sex offender lists for some reason.
