Senator Eddie Field's Date Getting Ready? Nope.... |
Dan Fisher Shearing the Flock
One of the political training aspects that I refused to adopt is the shearing of the sheep, the constant plea for money from supporters, usually prompted by some issue or crisis that will stir up the base. Now no doubt the principle is sound, get money from those that are doing nothing constructive anyway and grow the effort. But it is distasteful to say the least.

Back on April 29th Fisher sent out this plea for donations, unequivocally stating it was the last request for the primary.
That message was followed by this Facebook post about a week later where Fisher was wobbling, saying that only a "modest" media buy was possible despite the success of their money bomb. Now Fisher (or worse, radical anti Christian T Russel Hunter posing as Dan Fisher) wants everyone to dig deep to run the ads statewide.

Ah.... great success in raising money but that only covered the signs and literature... despite the assurances that not only was the April 29th plea the final shearing of the sheep but that it would pay for the TV ads too.
Dan Fisher always struck us as a charlatan, an opportunistic con man that was riding the coat tails of the Oklahoma City Tea Party. This constant demand for more money from his followers just proves that he will say or do anything to get elected but it also drives home the point that Fisher knows he has zero chance of winning more than 3% of the votes on June 26th.
