Baby Killers
Or so They Say...
Senate Committee Votes to Kill 10,000 Babies....
Okay.......
SB 495 is the much anticipated Abolitionist bill filed by newbie Senator Hamilton, the sole surviving abolitionist candidate, the one out of twelve that actually survived the abolitionist's support. The abolitionists have been pushing to get the bill filed and heard, creating new “groups” they claim support their agenda, with the groups being split off from the main abolitionist groups and usually consisting or one or two “leaders”.
So who would be surprised that scheduling the bill to be heard in committee on the second day of the new legislative session would be a bad thing? The abolitionists thought so and soundly denounced both the timing of scheduling the hearing to hear the bill and the Pro Life movement whom the abolitionists believe are profiting off abortion. A video by the disgraced abolitionist leader T. Russell Hunter screeched against the Pro Life people and legislators, making it clear that any attempt to allow abortions for saving the life of the mother were the acts of baby killers. The video shows Hunter working himself into a froth over what he called an attempt to dispose of the Hamilton bill before the abolitionists had a chance to show up to support the bill.
The video calls on supporters to not go to the abortion clinics on February 3rd, but to show up at the Capitol to “fill the room and hallways” to support the bill. I suppose it worked, they say that nearly twenty people showed up if you count the school aged kids. Witnesses claimed that cries of “baby killers” arose after the bill was voted down 10 to 0 in committee. The video reminds their followers that the act of murdering babies starts at the Capitol where the “baby killers” are enabled under Oklahoma law.
The video attacks other anti abortion bills like SB 612 authored by Senator Nathan Dahm. This bill passed seven to three just minutes before the Hamilton bill was heard and voted down unanimously. Dahm's bill outlaws all abortion except that which saves the life of the mother, imposing a felony ten year prison sentence and up to $100,000 in fines for performing an abortion.
Hmmm, abortion outlawed except for cases where the life of the mother is in danger. Why wouldn't the abolitionists support this law?
The Hamilton bill repealed every single anti abortion law on the books including those bills that regulated abortion and set up requirements and testing prior to an abortion. There were three pages of single to double line repealers that wiped out several dozen anti abortion laws. It also wiped out a severability clause in existing legislation which would invalidate some of the law if part of the law was found to be unconstitutional. That is a safety measure, a poor one, but at least there is something to allow a bad law to be challenged if the judges go too far in changing the intent.
In the video Senator Nathan Dahm was called shifty, schemey (?), and unrighteous because he filed anti abortion legislation to please the establishment. Five anti abortion bills were passed that day including Dahm's bills, yet this was not only not celebrated, it was denounced as evil and the continuation of baby killing. The video the next day we learn that the abolitionists are coming back this coming week not to lobby for pro life legislation but to denounce and punish those legislators that passed the five pro life bills but killed the abolitionist bill. They are to be told “you must repent” and they are going to say “you have blood on your hands” to the Senators. On Wednesday there was a scene after the hearing before the committee could continue hearing bills. Shouts of baby killer and anti abolitionist were heard until the Chairman ordered the room cleared.
One wonders how long Senator Hamilton can ride the beast. He was said to have warned the abolitionists prior to the hearing, saying he was new, this was his first bill and first day, and he needed time to build relationships with other Senators. So far not a word has been publicly uttered against Hamilton by the abolitionists but some believe it is a matter of time.
February 9th is the “abolitionist day” at the Capitol. It is going to be cold, freezing or below with a chance of winter weather. Will the abolitionists lose patience and resort to threats and violence if they are not heard and followed? The Oklahoma GOP under Chairman David Mclain tweeted out a message asking people to support the abolitionists last Wednesday, without the support of the actual GOP State Committee we might add, so it is crucial to watch out for abolitionists candidates at the next GOP convention. So far two men have filed for GOP Chairman, former House members John Bennett and Charles Ortega. The Vice Chair slot has attracted just one candidate so far, David Van who is the founder of Sooner Politics, and “Shame” Jemision is expected to try to keep his seat as vice chair. None of these men are abolitionists, all are Pro Life.
The last time we elected a GOP Chairman the abolitionists including OCPAC and the City Elders group managed to co opt David McLain. This time this isn't going to happen, no one with abolitionist views is going to come close to being elected. Time will tell if the sole abolitionist elected official, Senator Warren Hamilton, survives or has any influence in the Senate. From the committee vote on Wednesday we can guess that his district will wind up under represented if he allows the abolitionists to influence his voting.
Interestingly enough, had the crazies had their way, the Oklahoma Supreme Court would have quickly ruled that SB 495 was unconstitutional as applied meaning the law would remain on the books complete with all the repealers that gutted all of the existing abortion laws and regulations. Resulting in the first person to challenge the law would win but the law would remain in place effectively meaning there are zero anti abortion laws in Oklahoma. Until and if the law was appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States there would be no prosecutor charging abortionists for murder nor would they be charging abortionists for anything related to abortion because there would be no laws against it on the books. Then T. Russell Hunter and his crazed cult members would be the ones responsible for killing 10,000 babies.
