Senator Ervin Yen's Wife Arrested for Assault and Battery
Massively unpopular State Senator Ervin Yen is about to make the news after his wife found herself cuffed and stuffed into the back of a Del City squad car earlier this month after creating a 30 minute long scene at a local estate sale that ended in an attempt to shoplift some flip flops and a take down by the business owner. During the melee Pamela Yen, wife of Senator Ervin Yen, bit the business owner not once, but twice, as she was being restrained at the scene of the crime till the police arrived.
The story began with a lead on Facebook, which lead to a Sooner Tea Party supporter who is also a private eye paying the Del City police department a visit and coming away with the arrest report for Pamela Mae Yen. The report covered the October 8th 2017 arrest for Assault and Battery. The report says that the officer arrives on the scene to see a man holding a female subject on the ground. The man told the officer "She bit me and I finally gained control of her.". Which elicited Pam Yen to respond with "Yeah, I bit him." That was enough for said officer and Pam Yen was handcuffed and placed in the patrol car for a short ride to the station.
The report goes on to state that the victim reported that Pam Yen had been blaming and accusing the other patrons at the estate sale of stealing from her yet Pam Yen had yet to purchase anything or pay for the items. Pam Yen became irate and was asked to leave, eventually doing so but attempting to steal some items on the way out the door. A cashier and the victim caught Pam Yen, restrained her, earning the victim two bit marks and Pam Yen some pulled hair.
The second part of the written report covered another witness statement that a different customer became upset because Pam Yen was attempting to leave with a painting that the customer had already bought and paid for. The witness reported that as things progressed Pam Yen became less and less in control of herself, degenerating into cursing, yelling, and refusing to leave the estate sale despite being given several opportunities to walk away peacefully. The witness, a woman by the way, said that Pam Yen became physical with an employee, resulting in a tumble to the ground, biting and fighting, hair pulling and bear hugs. The witness said that the fight lasted about five minutes, pretty good for a 57 year old 135 pound woman. Pam Yen must have had some practice fighting to have lasted that long.
The report goes on to state that the victim filed a citizen arrest on Pam Yen for Assault and Battery, Pam Yen was formally arrested and read her rights before being transported to the Del City Police Department where she was booked into jail and paid a cash bond to obtain her release.
Pretty sparse details so we spoke to an employee of the estate sale and got the behind the scene story. The sale was an estate sale where the items had been hauled to the private business for display and sale. One particular painting had been selected by a customer, pulled off the wall and stored in the "sold" items area near the cash register. The customer paid for the painting along with many other items and proceeded to fill her car with goods to make several trips home to deliver the purchases.
Along comes Senator Ervin Yen's wife Pam, pulls the sold painting out of the sold pile and insists on buying the item despite being told that the item was no longer for sale and had been sold and paid for earlier in the day. When the cashier and other workers brought the owner into the situation the owner asked where Pam had found the picture, what room, what wall, questions that Pam Yen refused to answer. Deciding to trust the employees that the picture indeed had already been sold and was retrieved from the sold by Pam Yen the owner tried to calm Pam down.
But the fight was just starting. According to the witnesses Pam Yen became increasingly irate, screaming at employees and customers, refusing to leave the store, blocking the register and refusing to allow other customers to complete purchases until she received "her" painting, despite admitting that she had yet to pay for anything! At one point Pam Yen had grabbed the painting and headed for the door, leading the real owner to realize that her property was being stolen and alerting the other customers in the store.
After about thirty minutes of screams and cussing must have worn Pam Yen down because she suddenly grabbed some shower slippers, cheap flip flops it seems, off the counter and made a dash towards the exit door. The cashier is said to have grabbed her arm and slowed her down long enough for the victim to grab Pam Yen on shoplifting charges. The victim and Pam Yen fought until both fell against the buffet, with Pam Yen pulling the victim as they both were falling to the ground, causing the employees to call 9-11 to file shoplifting charges against Pam Yen. Pam must have had experience fighting her husband because Pam yen sank her teeth into the victim's hand, hanging on like a bulldog which led the victim to grab a handful of hair to pull her head back enough to get Pam to turn loose. The struggle lasted about five minutes with Pam once again sinking her teeth into the victim's hand and getting her hair pulled a second time. One wonders if Senator Ervin Yen has ever had to fight this hell cat... makes that droopy eye he has a bit questionable....
Once Pam Yen had been restrained another victim intervened, using her medical training and medical work experience to deduce that something was wrong with Pam Yen. The witness questioned Pam Yen about what medication she was taking or should be taking, asking if she had mixed the medication with other medications. In all about twenty customers or employees witnessed the entire episode and all sitting back when Pam Yen screamed for help. Bizarre was one description given of Pam Yen's behavior, off her meds was another explanation. Despite Pam Yen's screams for help not one of the other customers got involved, perhaps they knew crazy when they saw it?
There were other troubling signs of a crazed woman or mental/chemical incapacitated woman. Earlier Pam Yen had claimed ignorance on some matter at the sale, saying it was her first estate sale so she was unsure of how things worked. During the thirty minute tirade and fight she decided that she was a long time customer of the store that had spend thousands of dollars in purchases.
Through it all Pam Yen did agree that she had not paid for anything. But by God she wasn't going home without "her" painting if she had to whip everyone in the store and bite them twice if needed.
Senator Ervin Yen of course is universally loathed for his attempts to force vaccination upon children. So far his efforts to force vaccination have been stymied so the rest of the legislators have little respect for the guy. Senator Ervin Yen appeared once in Tulsa for a debate on forced vaccination and came off as extremely arrogant and condescending, especially as his training ins in anesthesiology. I suppose if your job is to put people to sleep a bed side manner isn't cultivated because the guy is a complete jerk.
Now people will be questioning how Senator Erin Yen can try to control other families when he can't even control his own wife. Is he so clueless to miss the signs of mental instability or signs of medicine being used wrong or even self medication? Perhaps Senator Ervin Yen is dealing pills to her, from the sounds of his wife's behavior I'd want her strung out on dope and passed out in the corner instead of walking around raising hell.
Whatever is the cause of the crazy behavior it must be hell living with such a person so perhaps that explains why Senator Ervin Yen is hell bent on giving everyone vaccinations. Maybe Pam Yen missed her rabies shot?
