Fake News Being Used In Republican Civil War At Capitol

Fake News from the Republican Civil War at the Capitol

David Van with Sooner Politics wrote an excellent article on the war between RINO Republicans and conservatives over the defeated tax hikes and the Step On Oklahoma plan defeat. Labor Commissioner and current House member Leslie Osborn attacked conservatives during the HB 1033 debate, calling the no voters haters of children, old people, and teachers. Speaker Charles McCall and other House Leadership team sat quietly despite the breech of decorum and rules.

The story goes on to outline how a shady PAC named OK United is going after recent coverts to the conservative side with posters, post cards, and Facebook ads. One target is Rep. Tess Teague, a low scoring rep during her first year at the Capitol but a wonderfully conservative voting record during the Special Sessions and the during Step On Oklahoma battle.

Teague has found redemption after realizing and admitting that House Leadership led her astray, a common result of a freshman's first year. Her 2017 Step On Oklahoma Index Score skyrocketed up 62.5 points. She was fourth from the top in improvement and would have been at the top except she believed that the majority of her district favored one of the tax bills. It is hard to find fault with a state rep when they vote the predominant way in their district. Conservative groups including the Sooner Tea Party are rallying to Teague's aid due to her recent excellent voting record and she has been tapped to speak at the Eastern Oklahoma County Conservative Republican Women meeting on Tuesday March 6th. The meeting will be held at Bandana Reds in Choctaw Oklahoma.

Last week Teague was the target of a completely false smear campaign, pictured with Al Gore amidst claims that she voted for a BTU tax, a completely fake bill made up by the Chamber of Commerce donors. In fact Teague joined conservatives in smacking down hundreds of millions of dollars per year in new taxes.

Even more proof of Teague's shaking off the corruptible influence of the House Leadership is her HB 2530 that passed out of committee on a 6 to 5 vote. The bill would require a performance audit of the Turnpike Authority, something that has never been done in its entire existence.

If you want to contribute to Facebook ads pushing back against the Step On Oklahoma Crowd being led by Oklahoma United use the donation link at the top of the newsletter. $20.00 goes a long way on Facebook when the ad is targeted into the House District zip codes.
