The Oklahoma County Sheriff Race Opinion

Guest article writer, Willard Linzy

The Nov. 3rd General election is now 50 days away and candidates within Oklahoma County of both major parties are scampering to garner the support of as many Independents voters as possible to swing  a clear victory over their opponent...

Democrat candidates in countywide races are unknowingly having to come from behind even though their party leaders have led them to believe otherwise and the prospect of having Independent voters give them a swing outcome large enough to out-pace their Republican opponent is very unlikely in my view UNLESS their voter turnout efforts go off the charts...

In the race for Oklahoma County Sheriff the Democrat candidate is naively banking on the ill-advised guidance of the OKC Black chamber of Commerce leadership misfits and professed conservative black media moguls who I believe are misreading the political landscape of Oklahoma County politics; a win for their candidates will give them a representative who will be ineffective in delivering on ANY of the political promises which he is making on his campaign trail, even though he doesn't know it YET!!

A vote for Tommie Johnson III will place the presence of the African-American community inside the room of the majority caucus in addition to giving this community of citizens a seat at the 9-member County budget board table of policy, however black voters regrettably are NOT being told such...

On Nov 3rd Democrat voters CAN quietly, by secret ballot, vote for the Republican candidate and preserve their best interest but as I've said, they've been misled to believe otherwise.
